Purchase and Website Terms of Use

These Terms govern the relationship between SIA "Verona Decor" (hereinafter — Verona Decor or the Seller) and the person placing and paying for an order on veronadecor.lv (hereinafter — the Buyer).

Purchases made through the website constitute distance contracts and are governed by the laws of the Republic of Latvia, including the Consumer Rights Protection Law and the rules governing distance contracts.

Before paying for an order, the Buyer must review these Terms. By placing and paying for an order, the Buyer confirms acceptance of these Terms.

These Terms apply to the purchase of bouquets through the Verona Decor online store and to payments for floral gifts through personalised and general flower-subscription pages.

Terms for weddings, events and other individually arranged services are agreed separately and are not governed by these Terms.

Personal data is processed in accordance with the Verona Decor Privacy and Cookie Policy.

2. Products and floral gifts

The main characteristics, available sizes and options, and the price of each product are stated on its product page.

Because flowers are natural and seasonal products, the finished bouquet may differ slightly from the photograph in shade, shape, the size of individual flowers and composition.

If certain flowers are unavailable, Verona Decor may replace them with flowers of equivalent value at the florist’s professional discretion while preserving the overall style, colour palette and value of the bouquet. Material changes that noticeably affect the appearance or nature of the order will be agreed with the Buyer in advance.

When a floral gift is purchased, the amount paid is used to create and deliver a floral gift to the specified couple and is not paid to the newlyweds in cash. Each paid floral gift is credited within the specified couple’s flower subscription. Verona Decor agrees the delivery schedule, bouquet composition and other delivery details directly with the couple.

3. Placing and paying for an order

To purchase a bouquet, the Buyer selects the product and option, adds it to the basket, provides the required information, chooses delivery or collection and proceeds to payment.

To purchase a floral gift, the Buyer completes the relevant form on the personalised or general flower-subscription page and proceeds to payment.

Before confirming payment, the Buyer can review and correct the information entered and the contents of the order. The Buyer is responsible for the accuracy of the order and the information provided.

All prices on the website are stated in euros and include VAT and other applicable taxes. Delivery charges are shown separately and added to the order total depending on the selected delivery method and address. Before confirming payment, the Buyer is shown the final order amount, including the product price and selected delivery charge.

Payment is processed through Stripe using the payment methods available on the payment page. No additional charges that were not shown or agreed with the Buyer before payment confirmation will be charged.

The distance contract is considered concluded after successful payment and the sending of an order confirmation to the email address provided by the Buyer. If payment is not completed or is declined, the order is not considered paid and Verona Decor will not begin fulfilment.

After successful payment, an order confirmation and payment document are sent to the email address provided by the Buyer. The confirmation must contain the key order details and allow the Buyer to retain information about the concluded distance contract.

If an error is discovered in the order or the information provided after payment, the Buyer should contact Verona Decor as soon as possible.

If a paid order cannot be fulfilled, Verona Decor will contact the Buyer and offer a suitable replacement, another date or a full refund. If no suitable solution is found, the amount paid will be refunded without undue delay and no later than 14 days after the Buyer is notified.

4. Delivery and collection

Delivery is available within Latvia using courier partners Bolt, Wolt and Choice. Collection is also available from the studio at Jāņa Asara iela 12-k1, Rīga.

The delivery charge is shown during checkout before payment.

The order is delivered to the address provided by the Buyer on the selected or separately agreed date. If Verona Decor cannot deliver on the agreed date, the Buyer will be offered another date, a suitable replacement or a refund. Any change of date will be agreed with the Buyer.

The Buyer must provide the correct address and current contact details for the recipient.

If the recipient is not at the specified address, Verona Decor or the courier will attempt to contact the recipient or the Buyer. If delivery must be moved to another address or time, the Buyer must pay for redelivery, except where the new address is no more than 2 km from the original address or the new time differs from the agreed time by no more than one hour.

If, for reasons unrelated to damage or non-conformity of the order, the recipient refuses to accept the order or is absent from the stated address and cannot be contacted, the cost of the prepared bouquet and completed delivery will not be refunded. This also applies if the recipient has left the city or country and remains unavailable for 24 hours after the agreed delivery time.

Leaving an order at the door or another location is permitted only if agreed in advance with the Buyer or recipient.
If, due to circumstances that Verona Decor could not reasonably have prevented, an order cannot be fulfilled or delivered within the agreed time, Verona Decor will contact the Buyer and offer another time or another suitable solution. If the order cannot be fulfilled, the amount paid will be refunded to the Buyer.

5. Changes and cancellation

If the Buyer wishes to change the date, time, address, order contents or recipient details, Verona Decor should be contacted as soon as possible. Whether a change can be made depends on the stage of fulfilment and the availability of the required flowers.

The Buyer may cancel a bouquet order before preparation has begun. To change or cancel an order, email verona@veronadecor.lv, call +371 29 859 996 or contact Verona Decor via WhatsApp.

If an order is cancelled before bouquet preparation begins, Verona Decor will initiate a refund no later than 7 business days after receiving the cancellation notice. The actual time for funds to be credited depends on the Buyer’s bank or payment service provider.

A paid floral gift may also be cancelled before fulfilment begins, provided the corresponding bouquet has not yet been ordered, prepared or delivered.

Once bouquet preparation or fulfilment of a floral gift has begun, the possibility of cancellation and the amount of any refund will be determined with regard to the stage of fulfilment and costs already incurred. This does not limit any mandatory consumer rights provided by law.

The cancellation option offered by Verona Decor under this section is an additional option and does not mean that the statutory standard 14-day right of withdrawal applies to a particular order.

6. Right of withdrawal

Where provided by law, a consumer has the right to withdraw from a distance contract within the applicable period. However, the law provides exceptions where the standard 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply.

In particular, the right of withdrawal does not apply to:
  • goods that are liable to deteriorate rapidly or have a short shelf life;
  • goods made to the Buyer’s specifications or clearly personalised.

Accordingly, the standard 14-day right of withdrawal generally does not apply to cut flowers, prepared bouquets and individually made floral arrangements.

The absence of the standard right of withdrawal does not limit the Buyer’s rights if the delivered product is damaged, defective or does not conform to the order.

7. Complaints and non-conformity

If a received bouquet is damaged or does not conform to the order, the Buyer may contact Verona Decor and request that the non-conformity be remedied. Minor natural differences between flowers and photographs, as well as seasonal substitutions permitted by these Terms, are not in themselves considered defects.

Because flowers are perishable and their condition can change, any visible damage or other issue should be reported as soon as possible after delivery, stating the order number, describing the issue and attaching photographs.

The consumer may raise a claim regarding non-conformity of the goods within the period established by applicable law. If the law provides a specific period for notifying a discovered non-conformity, that period applies in the relevant case.

Depending on the nature of the non-conformity and the consumer rights provided by law, the remedy may include replacement of the bouquet or redelivery, a proportionate price reduction or a refund.

Verona Decor will provide a written response to the Buyer’s complaint within the time limits required by applicable law, unless the dispute has already been resolved.

8. Disputes and final provisions

If the Buyer has a question or complaint, the Buyer should first contact Verona Decor using the contact details set out in section 1 of these Terms.

If a dispute cannot be resolved through negotiation or correspondence, the consumer may contact the Consumer Rights Protection Centre Patērētāju tiesību aizsardzības centrs (PTAC). If assistance from PTAC does not resolve the dispute, the consumer may, where applicable, apply to the Consumer Dispute Resolution Commission Patērētāju strīdu risināšanas komisija or to a court.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Latvia. This does not limit any mandatory consumer rights under applicable law.

The contract may be concluded in Latvian, Russian or English.

Verona Decor may update these Terms. The version in force at the time the order is placed applies to that order. Material changes apply to future orders and do not alter contracts already concluded unless expressly agreed with the Buyer or required by law.
